Tropico 4 Trailer Highlights Best Parts Of Ruling a Banana Republic

If you combine the Roller Coaster Tycoon series and Woody Allen’s Bananas, you’d normally create a South American amusement park that requires massive micromanagement that is filled with self-effacing humor and nebbishy Jewish neuroticism. But if you make both into a fun sounding video game, you’ll create the Tropico franchise, the latest installment being Tropico 4. In the Tropico series, you micromanage a banana republic as El Presidente, and the forth installment seems to be no different. The game will be released for both the PC and Xbox 360, but somehow I feel like the experience will be vastly better on PC given the RTS style of gameplay. Now if only there were more wars, socialism and racism, this would work as a true South American dictator simulator. Click the jump to see the trailer, equipped with plenty of gameplay and festive music.
