Today, Kalypso Media released a new video on its YouTube channel which serves as a teaser for what seems to be next game in the Tropico series.

The trailer, which is titled "Rule Again", is only about a minute long and features the character El Presidente. We don't get a great look at him however as he is shrouded in shadows while sending out a "tweet" of sorts saying, "Time to get back into the game." While the title Tropico 6 is never formally shown in the trailer, it can be assumed that this will most likely be the name of the next game. Other than that, the only other information that we currently know is that this game will be released in 2018 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

If you're unfamiliar with the Tropico franchise, it is a construction and simulation management series of games that focus on governing an island as the aforementioned character El Presidente. While it deals with subjects like totalitarianism and corrupt government, it does so in a tongue-in-cheek manner for humor purposes which makes it quite endearing.

The last game in the series, Tropico 5, released in 2014 for PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. It was received relatively well by critics with the game averaging a score in the mid-70s. However, Tropico 5 was a game that was developed with previous generation hardware -- Xbox 360 -- in mind so it will be intriguing to see what a new game in the series looks like as it is natively developed on current consoles.

While there isn't much that we know right now about what is most likely Tropico 6, it's safe to assume that we will probably see a more extended reveal of the game in the coming days or weeks. When that time comes, we will provide you with more information. Until then, be sure to check out today's teaser trailer below.
