With E3 2019 about to begin in just a few days, many viewers around the world will be turning their attention to some of the big announcements and anticipated games on the horizon. Of course, not every project or anticipated game is necessarily ready for such a big spotlight, and that appears to be including the next project from Turtle Rock Studios. The developer confirmed that the studio will not be present at E3 and will not be showcasing its upcoming project called Back 4 Blood, which is a co-op zombie shooter that the studio is aiming to deliver as a spiritual successor to the beloved Left 4 Dead series. The project was formally announced earlier this year by Turtle Rock, with Back 4 Blood to be published in collaboration with Warner Bros. Games, though other details about the game and what to expect are pretty vague at this time. However, that doesn't necessarily seem like a deterrent given the studio's legacy with its work on the Left 4 Dead series. Rumors of a third Left 4 Dead have been on-again/off-again over the years, and with little in the way of hard confirmation of whether we're getting an actual Left 4 Dead 3, Back 4 Blood seems like it might just be the thing that fans have been waiting for all these years.
