Ever since Hotline Miami took the indie gaming scene by storm in 2012, countless titles inspired by the game have followed in its footsteps. Next month, yet another one of these games will arrive on May 10 in TwinCop; that being said, Finite Reflection Studios' upcoming title stands out with its oddly charming co-op twist on the typical formula.

In the world of TwinCop, two police officers were fused together into a "super-cop" following an accident with a pontoon boat. Both cops now share the same body, meaning two players must control the singular character. Ultimately, players partake in an investigation into the mysterious PopTop Corporation and must fight of tons of enemies Hotline Miami style in the aptly named Twin City.

As you can probably tell from the premise only, TwinCop is poised to be quite the quirky co-op game. The two-players control apply not only to movement and shooting, but additional gameplay elements like driving and diffusing bombs as well. For a genre of indie game that has been done to death, TwinCop definitely seems like it will be a breath of fresh air to the genre, especially for fans of co-op games.

You can check out the trailer announcing the release date below. TwinCop is going to launch for both PC and Mac on May 10, 2019.
