Twitch Breaks Video Game Streaming Records

Twitch has announced that they have broken records in regards to broadcasters and viewers in February 2013.

The video broadcast platform for gamers has reached over 28 million unique viewers with 600,000 broadcasters bringing content to the site. Viewers of the site have watched an average of 1.5 hours of video each day.

Those not familiar with Twitch broadcasting, the site was launched in 2011 with a focus on broadcasting games from gamers to gamers. Eventually the service was integrated into various games by EA, Activision, and Sony Online Entertainment. They even introduced the Twitch Broadcasting SDK that allows gamers to integrate Twitch into their games with ease to broadcast gameplay.
