Twitch Plays Pokemon Heads to Kalos by Taking On Pokemon X

Twitch Plays Pokemon caught the Internet’s attention (and Poke Balls) earlier this year with millions of viewers and a significant amount of contributors coming to play the PokeMadness, and now the adventure continues with the stream heading into the Kalos region of Pokemon X.

Using a modified 3DS through an HDMI capture kit, Twitch Plays Pokemon will now have hundreds (and possible thousands) working through the most recent installment of the series, Pokemon X, and playing through with the sixth generation of pocket monsters.

After the Twitch stream previously played through the original Red and Blue titles and a majority of the titles/generations following that, the Twitch playthrough of Pokemon X also means that the game will have access to network functionality, since it is running on an actual 3DS, and can allow for trades or online battling.
