Two Digital Expansions in Development for Star Wars: The Old Republic
BioWare Austin has outlined their 2014 plans for Star Wars: The Old Republic, and have outlined what players can expect from them starting today through June. Among the promise of new battlezones and warzones, along with, “PvP Seasons, new Flashpoints, new Operations, new gear, performance improvements, and changes coming to classes,” it has been confirmed that two digital expansion packs will be released for the game.
“Expect to see two digital expansions in 2014 just like you did last year,” Senior Producer Bruce Maclean wrote, “with one similar to Galactic Starfighter in scope and one more closely resembling Rise of the Hutt Cartel.” He did warn however, that release dates and windows are subject to change to any unforeseen occurrence that may hinder their development.
In order to make room in development time to test new updates, the team has shifted from a two-week to three-week cycle between minor patches.
