Two More Companies Jump on Rumored Xbox Virtual Reality on E3 2016’s Official Site

Yesterday we reported about the E3 2016 official website listing “Virtual Reality > Xbox One” as a category, with four developers already registered. Today, two more related category emerged, with two more companies registered.

The two categories are “Virtual Reality > Xbox” and “Virtual Reality > Xbox Live,” with Bigben Interactive and Immersion Corporation listed.

Bigben publishes the WRC series and recently released Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter. Both properties would fit virtual reality really well. Just how cool would it be to play the role of Sherlock Holmes in VR?

Immersion is possibly even more interesting. The company works extensively on the field of haptics, which is basically providing feedback to the user via touch. That’s certainly another field that expands the potential of virtual reality.

It’ll be interesting to see what kind of products those companies will bring, and if they’ll really be related to the rumored compatibility between the new Xbox One and Oculus Rift.
