Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is shaping up as an awesome JRPG, and a definitely original one as well, showing a lot of additional features that one wouldn't expect. For instance Stand-up Comedy, or better Manzai, the Japanese two-man stand-up comedy style the popularity of which never seems to fade in the Land of the Raising Sun. You can see what I mean in the two new promo videos that Level-5 just published.

The funny (or tragic, depending on how much you are into novelty items) part is that one of the two videos explains why there won't be a magic book (like in the Nintendo DS version of the game) in the PS3 version, specifying that there will be a digital equivalent instead.

This popular style of comedy appears in the Ni No Kuni world in the form of the "Doton mori yosei manzai gekijo", (Fairy manzai theater of  The Doton forest). The skits feature two fairies Pucci, that plays the traditional role of the Tsukkomi (Straight Man) and Nico, that plays the Boke (Funny man), voiced respectively by Yoshiyuki Hirai and Tetsuya Hanagiwara, a popular Japanese comedy duo.

That you can enjoy in the two skits published by Level-5 past the cut.
