It looks like developer Typhoon Studios didn't sign with publisher 505 Games for no reason. At The Game Awards 2018, Typhoon revealed Journey to the Savage Planet -- a game that is unbelievable not a battle royale game.

Seen in the trailer below, it seems like the protagonist is waking up on a planet in the middle of absolute chaos:

The description gives likely the most information on the game:

As an employee of Kindred Aerospace, which proudly touts its rating as the “4th Best Interstellar Exploration Company”, players will be dropped onto an uncharted planet deep in a fictitious, far-away corner of the universe. Launched with high hopes but little equipment and no real plan, players are tasked with exploring, cataloging alien flora and fauna and determining if the planet is fit for human habitation.

Outside of the teaser, there wasn't a ton of information. Though that was intentional -- supposedly we will be seeing actual gameplay in 2019. So if you are digging the trailer, go ahead and set your calendars. Also, if you are interested in getting a message from Kindered Aerospace's "CEO," feel free to check the video at the end of the article.

Earlier this Fall, as mentioned above, Typhoon Studios partnered with 505 Games to help get their future games get published.

Journey to the Savage Planet will launch sometime in 2019, coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Feel free to check the trailer above or check out the game's official website.
