Ubisoft has confirmed they are working to bring Google Stadia games to PC via Ubisoft Connect, following the announcement that Stadia would be shut down on January 18, 2023.An announcement, which was published to the official Ubisoft Support Twitter account, reads "While Stadia will shut down on January 18, 2023, we're happy to share that we're working to bring the games you own on Stadia to PC through Ubisoft Connect". Harrison confirmed that all Stadia owners would receive hardware refunds, as well as refunds for all purchases made through the Stadia store.Although refunds are all well and good, fans instantly took to Twitter to express their concern over their save game files. This has since led to various developers, such as Ubisoft, confirming that they would work to transfer player save files to other platforms.IO Interactive, developers of the Hitman series, recently confirmed that they were investigating "other ways" for players to continue the Hitman experience on other platforms.

It's currently unclear exactly how Ubisoft will support players with the transition from Google Stadia to PC, but more details will be shared at a later date by the team. However, any Ubisoft titles that were purchased through the Google Stadia Store will be automatically refunded by Google. According to the blog post announcing the shutdown, the majority of refunds are expected to be completed by mid-January 2023.
