Ubisoft Details the PlayStation 5 Version of Rainbow Six Siege

Ubisoft has provided details on the next-gen version of Rainbow Six Siege such as performance modes, faster load times, and more.

In a post on the PlayStation Blog, Ubisoft has provided details on the PlayStation 5 version of Rainbow Six Siege. The next-gen version releases on December 1.

The PS5 version features three different graphical modes: performance, resolution, and activity card support. For performance mode, the game will run at 120 FPS and 4K dynamic resolution scaling. Resolution mode will target 60 FPS with 4K resolution. Lastly, Activity Card support allows for players to jump into matches quicker. Additionally, the PS5 version features faster load times.

For those that own the PS4 version, you can upgrade to the PS5 version for free and carry over your progress. The game also supports cross-play between PS4 and PS5 players.

“Thanks to the DualSense controller’s adaptive triggers, squeezing the R2 trigger emulates the resistance of an actual trigger, offering a unique feel for each weapon category and shooting gadget,” said Ubisoft. “For example, adaptive trigger resistance is light and quick for pistols, and heavier for bigger, powerful weapons like light machine guns. Players will also be able to feel the difference between single fire and full-automatic for full immersion.”

“In addition, thanks to the haptic feedback players will sense impact like never before. Dynamic and immersive, haptic feedback reacts with the environment. Weapons, explosions, gadgets and so on will provide feedback directly in the player’s hands.”

Rainbow Six Siege isn’t the only multiplayer game to be ported to the PS5. Developer Digital Extremes announced that Warframe will be releasing later this week. Additionally, the PlayStation 5’s launch included next-gen versions of multiplayer games like Fortnite, No Man’s Sky, and Dead by Daylight. Another upcoming multiplayer game coming to the platform is Destruction AllStars which will be February’s PS Plus game.

Rainbow Six Siege is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The PlayStation 5 version will be available on December 1.
