During Ubisoft's financial conference call for analysts and investors, CEO Yves Guillemot was asked to confirm or deny the rumor indicating that the upcoming Far Cry 5 features a western setting, and whether there is any concern about competition from Red Dead Redemption 2 (the title was not explicitly mentioned, but it was obvious).

Guillemot declined to comment on rumors, but teased "a lot more information very soon." He also added that the upcoming information will comfort investors about the game's potential.

The executive also mentioned that the company is "extremely excited" about the game.

Today Ubisoft also released its financial results for Fiscal Year 2016/2017, and you can read them here. The publisher also confirmed that this year we'll get a new Assassin's Creed, and The Crew 2 on top of Far Cry 5. They also teased a new IP coming in fiscal year 2018/2019.
