Ubisoft Has "Very Interesting" Games To Show Next Year; Will Keep R&D Investment Up

During Ubisoft’s quarterly financial conference call for investors and analysts, it was mentioned that the company has some “very interesting” games in the pipeline, and therefore it doesn’t expect a decrease of research and development investment in the near future.

“There will be very interesting products to be shown in the future, so we don’t intend to have our R&D at least for next year to go down. We do expect that we’ll have a lot of products that will be very valuable for next year.”

While some think that some Ubisoft franchises are starting to suffer from sequel fatigue (or have started a while ago), it’s hard to ignore the fact that we always see interesting stuff like For Honor and Far Cry: Primal coming out of the French publisher’s hat, so color me intrigued.

Hailing from sunny (not as much as people think) Italy and long standing gamer since the age of Mattel Intellivision and Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality) and MMORPGs are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
