Ubisoft Releases Splinter Cell: Blacklist "Abilities" Trailer

Amidst all the gunfire and ‘splosions of shooters released in the past few years, fans have noted the reductive effect it has had on games that were originally designed to incorporate more stealth elements, and on the genre itself. In the newest Splinter Cell: Blacklist trailer, we are shown that in addition to the option of running-and-gunning, Sam Fisher (who looks a lot like John Shepard these days) can ‘stalk, strike, and silence’ his enemies without causing too much of a commotion. True stealth may very well still be alive in this upcoming iteration of the Splinter Cell franchise.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist is being developed by Ubisoft Toronto and will be published by Ubisoft for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, and Wii U on August 20th, 2013 in the U.S. and on the 22nd and 23rd in Australia and the U.K., respectively. You can check out the trailer below.
