Though its number of titles have grown extensively since its original release in 2007, the Assassin’s Creed series has shown no signs of slowing down so far following last year’s Assassin’s Creed Rogue and Assassin’s Creed Unity, with the next title in the long-running series to see its reveal next week.
The official Assassin’s Creed website has been updated with a new animated teaser, showing an Assassin (or Assassin-like character) wielding a wrist-mounted blade, brass knuckles, a wrist-mounted pistol, and a luxurious cane, alongside the slogan “Oppression has to end.” The website also contains numerous mentions to a character named “Jacob,” which may be a reference to the upcoming game’s main protagonist.
The website confirms that a worldwide reveal of the next Assassin’s Creed title will take place next week on May 12th, 2015 starting at 5pm UK time (12pm EST) through a livestream on the official Assassin’s Creed website.
Previous rumors indicated that the next Assassin’s Creed title would be called Assassin’s Creed Victory, taking place in Victorian-era London and debuting on PS4, Xbox One, and PC – luckily with only about a week until the next title in the long-running Ubisoft franchise is revealed, we’ll be able to know for sure soon enough.
The next Assassin’s Creed game will officially be revealed on May 12th, 2015.
