Ubisoft's New AAA Title to be Announced This Fall for Release in Q1 2016; Ubisoft to Release Almost All Upcoming Titles Only on Current-Gen and PC

May 12, 2015

Its financial reporting season again and Ubisoft today released their report on the past fiscal year, and their plans for fiscal year 2016.

While much of the report is the usual financial info on earnings and such, there are a few big pieces of information revealed within.

Firstly, as we’ve already reportedThe Division is being pushed to an early 2016 release. But in that same January-March window Ubisoft has another unannounced AAA title slated for release. What that title may be is completely up in the air, but we do know it is not Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Rainbow Six Siege, Just Dance, or The Division.

During Ubisoft’s financial call the title was confirmed to be announced in the fall and not at this upcoming E3.

In that same call Ubisoft stated that it will be releasing all of its upcoming titles save for Just Dance only on the new-gen consoles and PC. While this is inevitable, it is notable that a publisher as large as Ubisoft would fully make the move.

Finally Ubisoft mentioned its investment in the Assassin’s Creed movie, so for those excited for the new movie don’t fret, its still coming.
