Ubisoft’s Strategy “Is Paying Off Handsomely;” Uplay Members Increase by 54% in 2014
During the financial conference call for the latest fiscal year, Ubisoft President Yves Guillemot commented about the results of the company’s strategy, and announced the results for the online service Uplay for last year.
In summary, ubisoft’s strategy of positioning early on new gen, of building its communities and its digital capacities, and of delivering massive systemic open world games, is paying off handsomely.
The company’s online service did better than many might have expected, with the number of members increased by 54% in 2014. Guillemot also mentioned that “engagement is stronger than ever,” with uplay Uplay rewards collections up 100% compared to 2013.
