RPG lovers rejoice, as one of the timeless classics of the genre is back, and for free, thanks to Good Old Games. All you have to do in order to get it is to log in your GOG.com account, find the game here¬†and click on “download”.

If you don’t have an account, then you should, even just because of the further free games you’ll receive, including adventure classics like Beneath a Steel Sky and Lure of the Temptress.

Ultima IV: Quest for the Avatar is a charming and extremely deep old-school RPG, that can easily be defined as one of the founding fathers of the open world RPG genre. Without Richard Garriot’s masterpieces¬†The Elder Scrolls series might not have existed.

If he plays this one I might even forgive Chad for not finishing Xenogears… or maybe not.

What are you waiting for?

He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
