February 14 sees a change in raid bosses within Pokemon GO. This coincides with the new Valentine’s Day event which is starting to roll out around the world. Some of the new Pokemon currently involved in raids include Gardevoir, Umbreon and Alomomola. While many of these Pokemon have been featured in raids multiple times before, new Mega Evolutions and moves are being released regularly, and therefore the meta often changes. With that in mind, let’s see if Umbreon has any Weakness in Pokemon GO and look at the best counters to take it down.

Umbreon Weakness Pokemon GO

Umbreon is a pure Dark-type Pokemon, leaving it with a trio of weaknesses to exploit. Its Dark typing means that Fairy, Fighting and Bug-type moves are super effective against it. This means there is a good range counters to take down Umbreon in Pokemon GO, but what are they?

Best Counters For Umbreon

There are a few top counters to Umbreon in the game, let’s take a look at them.

Mega Beedrill is the only Mega Pokemon that’s worth currently considering for Umbreon Raids.

The main type of Pokemon you want to be considering for Umbreon raids is Fighting-types as there is tonnes of choice and they’re fairly common. Lucario is probably the best performer in this area, closely followed by ConkeldurrMachamp and Breloom are also both great counters and you should have plenty of candies for the pair of them.

Alongside the Fighting-types, there is a handful of decent Fairy-type counters. The trio of Togekiss, Gardevoir and Granbull are all are good picks here.
