Uncharted 2: Among Theives At Comic-Con San Diego

July 22, 2009

As if yesterday’s announcement of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves hitting store shelves on the 13th of October wasn’t enough to get you all hot and bothered for this years best of show title, it has just been announced that the game will be available at this week’s Comic-Con in San Diego. Those lucky enough to be in attendance just need to head to the Playstation booth to take part in all the Uncharted festivities, including some real hands-on time with the game! Oh and did we mention, it’s all new, never before seen (not even at E3) parts of the game.

There will also be a meet and greet guest panel featuring all the voice actors of the game (Nolan North, Claudia Black, and Emily Rose). The panel will take place Thursday, July 23rd at 5:30pm in room 6A, on the upper level of the convention center. IGN’s own Playstation editor Greg Miller will also be on hand to MC a discussion with the developers about how the Naughty Dog Engine 2.0 along with motion captures have helped pave the way for cinematic experiences in video games. Having listened to Greg on his Podcast Beyond, I’m sure this will be quite entertaining and I will very jealous of those able to attend.

And finally, Sony and ESC-Toys have annnounced a partnership up to create some Nathan Drake vinyl toy/sack person plushes. If you don’t think this design is the most adorable thing you’ve ever seen then you must also hate puppies. And in the words of the guy from the Time Warner ads:”who hate’s puppies?”
