The third Uncharted game has been confirmed, and as we reported earlier it will indeed be featuring a desert. Titled Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, the game will focus on Drake’s relationship with his mentor and father figure Victor “Sully” Sullivan and will see Nathan exploring the Arabian Peninsula and the Rub’ al Khali Desert as he searches for the fabled lost city which is sometimes called “Iram of the Pillar”.

Entertainment Weekly got an exclusive look at the title and has a fair bit of information as well as a brief trailer. Not a lot has been revealed at this point, but you can expect more information this weekend at Spike’s VGAs when the full trailer is set to reveal. Drake’s Deception is set to launch late next year, with the first book coming out and the movie scheduled to begin filming around the same time.
