David O. Russell, director of I Heart Huckabees, has reportedly been signed on to write and direct the film adaptation of Naughty Dog's 2007 hit Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Although Russell seemed to at first pass over the project back in May in favor of the big-screen version of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, it seems that he has had a change of heart, putting Zombies on hold in favor of Uncharted.

Uncharted has been one of the most successful games for the PS3, selling 1 million copies in its first 10 weeks, and 2.6 million total in its lifespan so far. Let's hope for Russell's sake that the movie follows this trend and fares well also.
