Uncharted Series’ Veteran Artist Returns to Naughty Dog After Nine Months at Ubisoft

Back in September 2014, Former Naughty Dog Environment Artist David Ballard left the house of Uncharted to work at Ubisoft’s San Francisco studio.

Apparently Ballard missed his former creative home, as according to his linkedin profile, he’s now back at Naughty Dog, with a new role as Multiplayer Level Layout Artist.

Ballard is a veteran of the Uncharted series, having worked on Uncharted 2, 3 and 4 since 2009. He also lent his talent to The Last of Us.

We have no precise information on what exactly Ballard worked on at Ubisoft, but his profile mentions a “AAA Next-Gen title,” of which we probably haven’t heard yet, and for which he covered the role of Senior Environment Artist. Maybe we’ll hear more from Ubisoft at E3.
