Amy Hennig, former Writer/Creative Director at Naughty Dog, will be receiving a “Special Award” from the people at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. She will be getting the award on June 12th, just before E3 this year.

Amy Hennig (pictured below) was the Writer and Creative Director of the first three Uncharted games, but left during the development of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.  She is currently working at Visceral Games (Dead Space), where she is working on a brand new Star Wars game.

Her work on the first three Uncharted Games was great, so she definitely deserves the BAFTA award.  It is great to see great industry figures like her get recognized, and hopefully this is the start of a positive trend of great video game developers getting the recognition that they deserve.

Both Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection are currently out on PS4.
