Critically Acclaimed Undertale Hits PS4 and PS Vita Today Alongside an Official Launch Trailer
Undertale and all its charm is now available for PS4 and even PS Vita owners.
In case you missed 2015 — let me catch you up: Undertale is a big deal. And today it has finally made its way to PS4 and the ol’ PlayStation Vita, accompanied by an official launch trailer.
First released for PC and Mac in September 2015 (and then Linux in July 2016), Undertale quickly became the talk of the town. Praised for its stellar writing, thematic material, originality, characters, combat system, and much more, the title developed by one man (Toby Fox) sold over a million copies and was nominated for many end of the year awards, including Game of the Year. It was a hit out of nowhere. The utter embodiment of a critical indie darling. And it was out of the reach of console players.
But now that has changed. Now, the RPG — which impressively boasts a 92 on Metacritic (one of the highest scores this generation) — is on PS4 and PS Vita for $14.99 USD, where it notably supports cross-buy.
For those that don’t know: in Undertale you control a human who falls underground into a world of monsters. Exploring a world full of strange characters and where violence is never the only answer, you must find a way out or be trapped forever. Dance with a slime. Pet a dog. Whisper stuff into the ears of Knights. The choice is yours in Undertale.
