Unity Engine 5 is Now Available to Download for Free, Fully-Featured and No Royalties

Unity Technologies made a bold announcement on the Unity blog, right after Unreal Engine 4 was made free to download: Unity Engine 5 is free for download as well, fully-featured and no royalties.

There are two versions of Unity to choose from: the Personal Edition, which is the full engineĀ and completely free, and the Professional Edition, which comes with the engine as well as other handy development tools and tracking for either $75 per month or $1500 for perpetual use.
