Epic Games and Nvidia took time today to demonstrate Unreal Engine 3 running on Windows 8 and Windows RT at an Asus’ press conference at IFA 2012.

Epic Citadel was shown running off the Asus Vivo Tab RT. Unreal Engine 3 will make use of DirectX 9  while using the power of Tegra 3 to show off material and shaders. The full engine has been ported, which means that developers will be able to bring their games to more platforms with less work.

Nvidia has also release a video showing off the engine at work on the tablet. What does this mean for gamers? More high powered games on more platforms for users to enjoy everywhere, which is a win for all gamers.
