Update Will Change PSN Accounts to SEN

on February 4, 2012 3:45 PM

Sony, taking a page from Sean “Diddy” Combs’ book, has decided to do some work on its initials. Soon PSN accounts will change to SEN, or Sony Entertainment Network, if you’re not into the whole brevity thing.

In an email to Playstation Network users, Sony claims that the change is being put into effect in order to “get closer to [their] goal of establishing a global comprehensive network platform of services across games, movies, music and more, all accessible from one convenient account.”

Don’t expect this to turn your account into the next iTunes store just yet — thus far the changes won’t affect more than the name of the accounts themselves and a few minor details in the user agreement. If you PSN users haven’t received an email yet, expect one soon; the change is scheduled to take place along with the next system update.

He enjoys games with a strong emphasis on story, which typically fall into the RPG, Action/Adventure, or Horror genres, though he also has a soft spot for fighting games and has been known, when feeling saucy, to shred on some Guitar Hero or Rock Band.
