Ed Orman from Uppercut Games announced their new game Submerged will be coming to the PlayStation 4 this year. Submerged is an exploration-adventure game with no fail state, meaning you will not die and can play at your own pace. It takes place in a city that is flooded and slowly being enveloped by plant life.

You will play as siblings Miku and Taku, and your initial objective is to scavenge for supplies to help bring Taku back to health. You will explore the city with a boat and telescope, finding caches of items that require you to climb partially destroyed buildings. The narrative focuses on what happened to the city, as well as why Miku and Taku came here to seek help.

Submerged uses Unreal Engine for its graphics and Uppercut Games has recruited Jeff Van Dyck to produce the score. Dyck is most known for his work on the Total War series as well as Alien: Isolation. You can find some screenshots of the game, as well as the announcement trailer, below.
