Yesterday brought the surprising (and surprisingly fun) news that some of your favorite Nintendo characters from other franchises will get to go out for a ride in Mario Kart 8, and now pricing has been confirmed for just how much you can pay to race as Link or The Villager.

US pricing for the upcoming Mario Kart 8 DLC packs has been confirmed for both The Legend of Zelda x Mario Kart 8 and Animal Crossing x Mario Kart 8 sets, with each pack individually retailing for $7.99, while purchasing both packs together nets a price of $11.99, saving over 25% of purchasing both individually.

In addition to the pricing, players that purchase both packs will also get eight new colors for Yoshi and Shy Guy, adding more color to the already vibrant game with a whole assortment of different colored Shy Guys and Yoshis racing around.

The Legend of Zelda x Mario Kart 8 DLC pack will be releasing in November 2014, while the Animal Crossing x Mario Kart 8 DLC pack will be releasing in May 2015 - both packs are now available for pre-order through the Wii U eShop.
