Atlus launched a new trailer for their upcoming SRPG-visual novel Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth, coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita on September 5.

The publisher explains that Mask of Truth will contain many more battles when compared to the first entry in the series, Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception. This is due to the story picking up at the brink of Civil War as usurper has seized the Yamato throne and seeks to take over all that surrounds him.

A familiar group of characters will be fighting back against the empire and will enter the battle with skills they've acquired over their adventure. This includes: Extended Action Chains, a higher-level cap, and the introduction of Co-op Final and Co-op Chain attacks add a new layer of strategy to the turn-based battles.

Additionally, players will be able to practice fighting and honing their skills during training exercises, which offers experience and BP to the characters who participate.

There are special pre-order bonuses for early adopters of the physical version in the form of a pillowcase, for both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita release.

DualShocker reviewed Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception thought it was a good visual novel, but needed more high points offered throughout the 80 hour long storyand .
