Today Aquaplus released a set of TV commercials for its upcoming action-JRPG Utawarerumono Zan.

The two commercials give brief glimpses of gameplay and cutscenes, coming in both familiar ad formats, thirty and fifteen seconds-long.

For those unfamiliar with the game, Utawarerumono Zan is part of the fairly niche but beloved Utawarerumono series, but it doesn’t feature the familiar mix of turn-based RPG and visual novel gameplay, moving instead into the action-RPG genre.

Utawarerumono Zan is coming in Japan exclusively for PS4 on September 27th. At the moment we don't know whether it'll come west since no publisher has announced having picked it up just yet. We can only wait and hope.

It certainly seems like it could be a good entry point in the series for those who haven't played any of its games just yet.

If you want to see more, you can also enjoy the original reveal and another trailer showing the opening cutscene, on top of a gallery with the latest batch of screenshots.
