After years of waiting, the day of the return of Valkyria Chronicles has finally come. While western gamers will have to wait until the fall, Valkyria Chronicles 4 has been released in Japan today.

In order to celebrate such a momentous occasion, we grabbed a copy in Akihabara, Tokyo, and we unwrapped it on camera for you.

To be more precise, we got the 10th Anniversary Memorial Edition, which includes the game, an artbook, a soundtrack CD, and a code for a DLC chapter that crosses over with the first Valkyria Chronicles, letting you play alongside Squad 7 and unlock them for the rest of the game.

You can check out the video below, with the hope that Sega will release this lovely collector's edition in the west. For now, there is no announcement about it, and only a day one edition with a steelbook has been revealed. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Besides the PS4 version releasedtoday, Japan will also get a Switch version in the summer. The western release will happen in the fall for PS4, Xbox One, and Switch.

Just today, we heard of the DLC and season pass for the Japanese version of the game, which will include bikinis aplenty, and the return of fan-favorite Selvaria Bles.

In the meanwhile, you can enjoy the video below.
