Today Sega hosted a preview event for Valkyria Chronicles 4 in Tokyo, and there is good news for those who want to try the game early.

A demo will be released on the Japanese PlayStation Store, as mentioned by Twitter user Ryohei, who was in attendance at the event.

It’ll come on Monday, February 26th (which means in just two days). The demo is going to include a mission made specifically for it, plus the first two chapters, and it will allow you to transfer your save data to the final game (or at least the Japanese version).

At the moment we don’t know whether Sega of America will follow up with a demo of its own in due time, but at least we’ll be able to get our hands on the Japanese version soon enough.

Obviously, a Japanese PSN account will be required to download and install the demo. If you don’t have one, you can prepare ahead of time thanks to our handy guide.

Incidentally we also learn that what is playable at today’s event is the actual game, not the demo, which means that it’s either already gone gold, or it’s very close.
