Yesterday, during a livestream from Sega’s headquarters in Tokyo the publisher announces four DLC for the Japanese version of Valkyria Chronicles 4.

A Season Pass will also be available in Japan starting today for 4,000 yen (just north of $37.5) plus taxes.

The first DLC package is “Squad E to the sea!” and it will be delivered on March 29th, sold separately for 1,500 yen.

It will include a new chapter in which Squad E is tasked to scout an Imperial supply base that happens to face the sea and the white sands of a beach. It can be played after completing chapter 10, and will unlock swimsuit costumes for Claude, Riley, Raz, Kai, and Minerva.

The second DLC is “Squad E’s Captain is Absent” and will come on April 5th, sold separately for 1,000 yen.

It can be played after chapter 10. Ragnarok has gone missing and members of Squad E have to go find him on their own while Claude is absent.

The third DLC is “Raid Battle Hard-EX” and will be released on April 12th for 1,000 yen.

It can be played after chapter 18, and it’s a challenging mission in which Squad E has to provide reinforcements on the battlefield.

The fourth DLC is “Opposing Valkyria” and will be released on April 19th for 1,500 yen.

It can be played after chapter 18th. Crymaria Lewin’s special abilities trial has not produced the desired results, and the auditor dispatched by the Imperial army is none other than Colonel Selvaria Bles. Will everything go to waste, or will the experiment be continued? Crymaria’s destiny depends on the encounter between the two valkyria.

Clearing this DLC will unlock swimsuits for Crymaria, Nikola, Chiara, and Selvaria, because Sega knows its audience very well.

Below you can check out the first footage of “Opposing Valkyria,” a batch of screenshots from all four DLC packages, and the full recording of the livestream that showcased a lot of new gameplay.

You can also see three rather sexy illustrations by character designer Raita Honjou celebrating the game’s release, and one for the upcoming tenth anniversary of the series.

If you want to see more before you purchase the game,  a demo is currently available on the Japanese PSN. If you’d rather just watch some footage of the demo itself, you can enjoy about an hour of gameplay. You can also check out a large gallery of screenshots and info in English released by Sega this week.

Valkyria Chronicles 4 will release in North America and Europe for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One in fall 2018. It released in Japan for PS4 today, and for Nintendo Switch later in the summer.
