Today, Sega released the PS4 demo of the upcoming strategy JRPG Senjou no Valkyria 4: Eastern Front, that will be titled Valkyria Chronicles 4 in the west.

As is the tradition for the demos of the series, this also marked the reveal of the opening cutscene of the game, that is absolutely lovely.

The video is crowned by the charming theme song "Light up my Life" performed by singer and songwriter Mai Kuraki, composed by shilo and arranged by Shuho Mitani.

Considering how much we waited for this game to finally come, and how much I love the Valkyria Chronicles series, I will admit that I got just a little bit emotional. We can only hope that Sega won't remove the song from the western version, as it happened in the past.

You can watch and listen to the video below. If you want to see more of the game, you can check out the latest direct-feed gameplay, a recent trailer introducing the characters of the Atlantic Federation, and another showing their enemies.

Valkyria Chronicles 4 will hit the shelves both in North America and Europe for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One in 2018. It will launch in Japan for PS4 on March 21st, 2018 and for Nintendo Switch later in the summer.
