Today Sega released a new trailer of the upcoming JRPG Valkyria Chronicles 4.

There is good news and bad news. The trailer features the opening cutscene of the game, and the good news is that it looks as awesome as it did in the Japanese version of the game. The bad news is that it lost the absolutely charming theme song “Light up my Life” performed by singer and songwriter Mai Kuraki.

If you played the previous chapters of the series localized for the west, this will probably not surprise you, as it happened with the original game. Sega probably could not license the song for North America and Europe.

Regrets aside, I really can't wait to play this game in English. I really enjoyed the Japanese original.

You can check out the trailer below. We already know that a demo will be distributed some time down the line. You can also read our hands-on preview from E3, and check out another trailer featuring the Switch version.

The game will be available on September 25th for PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC in a standard edition for $59.99, while the Memoirs of Battle edition will cost $99.99.

You can already pre-order Valkyria Chronicles 4 including its rich collector’s edition from Amazon.
