Valkyria Chronicles 4’s New Videos Reveal Zaiga and Ferie; Over 50 Characters Teased

Sega reveals two members of Valkyria Chronicles 4's Squad E and teases that players will be able to choose among over fifty soldiers in the game.

Today Sega revealed new gameplay videos of the upcoming strategy JRPG Senjou no Valkyria 4: Eastern Front, which will come to the west as Valkyria Chronicles 4.

The videos are (which were published by the new Twitter account “Nikola and Kiara’s Infiltration Diary”) particularly interesting as they introduce two members of squad E outside of the circle of protagonists that we already have seen a lot.

The first is a male Darcsen named Zaiga, who apparently has a lot of respect for Raz (he calls him “Aniki,” which means “big brother”). The second is a mysterious twin-pigtailed girl named Ferie. The pigtails are literally all we see, as she wears a fully covering helmet hiding her features.

We also get to see more bonus artwork by Character Designer Raita Honjoy, portraying heroine Riley, and Nikola and Kiara themselves.

Another very interesting element is that the Tweets mention that Zaiga and Ferie’s reveal are the first and second entries of the “Squad E personnel file” which counts over fifty characters. Looks like we’ll have a whole lot of choice on who to bring into battle.
