Valkyria Chronicles PlayStation 4 Performance Compared to PC and PlayStation 3 Versions

With the release of Valkyria Chronicles Remastered to the general public, we now have a in-depth comparison of the remastered version on PlayStation 4 to the original release on PlayStation 3 and the later port to PC thanks to Digital Foundry.

The PlayStation 4 version doesn’t look as soft as the PC version due to the post-processing anti-aliasing being higher compared to PC, which removes the slight blur. This can be removed on PC by using NVIDIA’s DSR to run the game at 4K and downsample for a sharper image.

When compared to the PlayStation 3 version, the PS4 remaster has double the frame rate, and a much sharper image due to the increase in resolution from the PS3’s 720p images. You can watch the complete breakdown of the graphics in the video below:
