Few things brighten my day more than a dose of Valkyria Chronicles 4 coverage, and the official Twitter account “Nikola and Kiara’s Infiltration Diary” has provided today as well.
This time around, the assets we get are not related to specific characters (even if we do see quite a few), but to the mighty Snow Cruiser Centurion, which is the pride of the Navy of the United Kingdom of Edimburgh (which is the game's equivalent of the U.K.), and will serve as a powerful support weapon for Squad E.
Not only she heavily armed and armored, not to mention equipped with radar, but it can sail on frozen land thanks to the help of classified technology from the United States of Vinland (you guessed it, they're Valkyria Chronicles' version of the U.S.).
We get a video, which also shows the most relevant members of the ship's crew, and quite a few pieces of concept artwork showing the Centurion in all its might. Incidentally, while most know Raita Honjou as Character Designer, apparently he is a very good mecha designer as well, since he designed the Centurion himself.
You can check out all the assets below. If you want to see more, you can watch more videos from yesterday revealing Viola and Connor, more art and a clip introducing Viktoria, more screenshots and interesting info on the setting, a trailer showcasing the Imperial cast, another trailer, some videos and art featuring Kai and Raz, more videos revealing Zaiga and Ferie, similar videos and art about Riley, abother reveal about Claude, the latest batch of screenshots focusing on the Snow Cruiser Centurion and her crew, an earlier trailer, some more screenshots from a couple of weeks ago, two recent gameplay videos from Taipei Game Show, the first gameplay footage, a recent trailer showcasing the crossover DLC with the first game, another showing a wide range of gameplay features, the previous batch of screenshots and information, the first trailer, more screenshots, more artwork and info, and the first gallery of images.
Valkyria Chronicles 4 will release both in North America and Europe for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One in 2018. It will hit the shelves in Japan for PS4 on March 21st, 2018 and for Nintendo Switch later in the summer.
