Recently, Square Enix announced Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth for iOS and Android. While the fact that the game isn’t new or even a remaster on modern consoles is rather tragic, today we can at least see what it looks like.

The publisher released two gameplay videos showcasing the game played on a smartphone. We even see the virtual controls displayed on the screen.

It’s worth mentioning that background music has been turned off in the videos, which you can enjoy below.

Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth was an enhanced port for PSP released in 2006 of the original Valkyrie Profile for the PlayStation, which saw the light in 1999.

The game will launch for iOS and Android in Japan this spring. For the moment, no western release has been announced, so we’ll have to wait and see whether Square Enix makes any announcement on this down the line.

I don’t know about you guys and girls, but I’m just gonna go cry myself to sleep now.
