Valorant update 2.08 went live last night and players have some new locations to discover. If you've heard about the new map, then you would probably ask yourself "is Breeze in competitive queue?" Well, the short answer is not now.

Valorant has been one of the most successful launches for Riot Games in the past years. The game received an incredible reception from fans at launch and with more content hitting this online competitive multiplayer experience, the popularity increases.

The most notable addition to Valorant with update 2.08 is the new map called Breeze. A tropical island where players will compete against each other inside old, ruined passages.

Is Breeze in Competitive Matchmaking?

No. Breeze will not be available in the standard Competitive or Unrated queues for two weeks. During this period, you can play on Breeze through the standard Deathmatch, Spike Rush, or Escalation matches.

There is also a limited-time Breeze-only Unrated queue available for two weeks in the game that will allow you to test out the new map and learn its multiple paths.

After the two weeks period ends, Riot Games will decide to either import Breeze into the competitive queue or apply some changes to the map with another update.

We are currently in the second episode of the game, which introduced a new character, Astra, recently as well. This the final act of the Episode 2, meaning the new episode is one the way to arrive in the coming months.

Valorant is now available on PC for free through the official Riot Games launcher. There has been no news around a console version of the game so far, though at one point Riot Games confirmed that they would consider a console port of the game in the future.
