There's no doubt whatsoever that Riot Games' newest shooter, Valorant, has been one of the biggest titles of 2020 so far. Despite still only being available via closed beta, the competitive FPS has done gangbusters on Twitch, with hundreds of millions of hours of view time being logged on the platform in April alone. Now, Riot apparently has some more information on Valorant that they'll be sharing quite soon.Announced by Geoff Keighley today, Riot will be joining the producer and host tomorrow to make an announcement of some sort regarding Valorant. The announcement stream is set to be apart of the ongoing Summer Game Fest which Keighley has put together in recent weeks to help make up for the lack of major conventions such as E3 this summer. Tomorrow's stream is set to kick off bright and early at 8am PST/11am EST.

No teases were provided by Keighley or Riot as to what this reveal could be for the game, but there are some logical guesses. First off, we could be getting an official release date for Valorant considering that Riot has previously said it plans to fully launch the game this summer. Given that this window is quickly approaching, a firm release announcement could make sense. As of now, the only way to play the game is by getting access to the closed beta, which most commonly comes about in the form of a "drop" that you get while watching Valorant being played on Twitch.

There's also an outside chance that Valorant could be announced for consoles, too. As of now, the game is PC-exclusive, but previous leaks have potentially indicated that console iterations could be in the works. I wouldn't get too hopeful about this coming to fruition just yet, but it's not outside of the realm of possibilities.

Regardless of what is announced though, many will surely be excited to see what Riot Games has in store for the game moving forward. Considering Valorant's early success, it seems like the title could be around for a long time to come.

Assuming that what is unveiled tomorrow is worth reporting on, we'll be sharing this Valorant news with you here on DualShockers as it transpires.
