Riot Games has released the official patch notes for Valorant Patch 6.05. The incoming changes are essentially just adjustments to and bug fixes for the game’s newest agent, Gekko.

First, Gekko’s Wingman (Q) plant and defuse targeting has been improved “to target higher locations.” Audio variations have been added to Mosh Pit’s (C) explosions. The audio on Dizzy’s (E) plasma blasts has been adjusted so you can now easily differentiate between whether they’re flying towards you or an ally.

Several visual effects (VFX) improvements have been made to Gekko. There is now VFX for when Gekko is reclaiming his orb, as well as when this process completes. There are now also distinct visuals for enemy creature globules.

A whole host of Gekko bugs have been addressed. Some of the more important bugs that have been fixed are a bug where Wingman wasn’t taking melee damage, a bug where Wingman wasn’t triggering Cypher’s Trapwire (C) and a bug where enemies can avoid damage from Mosh Pit by crouch-jumping.

On the topic of crouch-jumping, a bug where players were avoiding damage-over-time abilities by crouch-jumping has also been addressed.

Other various bugs have also been looked at, the ‘import’ button on the crosshair menu will no longer be greyed out if you have over ten crosshairs active, the maximum remains fifteen.

On the performance front, Riot has added a ‘CPU Wait GPU Time’ metric to performance settings so players can better track when their machines are render thread bound. Also, the ‘Used Memory’ performance metric will now update when the ‘Total Memory’ metric is disabled.

Patch 6.05 will bring no major balance changes to Valorant. The exact timing of when the patch goes live is unknown, but in all likelihood, it will be during the early morning hours of March 15 in each respective timezone.
