Valorant’s microtransaction system is undergoing some significant changes across a range of regions.

Riot Games had released Valorant last year, and the game has managed to become one of the biggest competitive shooters out there, rivaling the likes of CS: GO. The developers have a long roadmap in place for the game, and it is expected that there will be more maps, heroes, and much more added to the game in the days to come.

Amidst the wait, Riot Games has made some interesting changes to its microtransaction system.

The changes will be taking effect from September 8th. However, to compensate for the changes, Riot Games is offering double Bonus currency until September 8th. The promotion starts on August 23rd at 1:00 PM PDT and will go on till September 8th, 1:00 PM PDT. Once the promotion ends, the new pricing will go live.

While this might disappoint many fans out there, Riot Games has mentioned that the changes have been done to take into “account for changes in currency fluctuations, taxation, and regional discrepancies.”
