The first Saturday of May every year holds a special place in the hearts of many (particularly those of comic book readers), as the annual Free Comic Book Day is taking place today, May 3rd, across comic stores across the country as free issues of comic books are given out to all to enjoy.

To celebrate the occasion, Valve is releasing its own comic books to readers for the Free Comic Book Day festivities, as the studio is releasing the first three issues of its Team Fortress 2 “Catch-Up” comic series for free viewing online. With the studio currently publishing the comics as a quarterly series, the first three issues of the comics are available to view here in celebration of Free Comic Book day.

It may not be the same as a sandvich, but Team Fortress 2 comics are still pretty sweet, no?
