Valve Denies Rumors About Half Life 3

on December 30, 2011 11:15 AM

Recently the gaming community has been talking quite a lot about possible hints dropped by Valve on a future release of Half Life 3.

The rumors did seem somewhat solid to many, but Valve seems to think differently.

Chet Faliszek, one of the main writers behind the Half Life and the Portal series, posted on the Steam forums, discrediting the rumors quite radically.

You are being trolled.

There is no ARG.

Wheatley’s speech was set in Portal 2 fiction – that is all.

There has been no directive from Gabe to leak anything. That is all false.

I just want to say this so there is no confusion. This is the community trolling the community nothing more. While it is nice to see people excited about anything HL, I hate seeing people be trolled like this.”

It’s actually quite rare to see a developer deny a rumor this vehemently, so we can safely say that this one has been, at least for now, put to rest.
