A Dataminer managed to discover some incredible details on Citadel, an upcoming RTS-FPS hybrid from Valve!
Valve has always been quite unpredictable when it comes to developing games and announcing new projects. The studio doesn't make games so often, but when it does, it brings huge success for developers and lots of joy for players.

If we ignore the Aperture Desk Job tech demo, Half-Life Alyx was the latest effort from Valve that turned into a huge success for the company's first VR headset as well.
Now with Steam Deck out, the software team at Valve might have more time to work on gaming projects, and well, the Aperture Desk Job data already mention 4 different projects from Valve that we haven't heard anything about officially yet.
Dataminers Discovered Some Info on 4 Unannounced Games from Valve in Aperture Desk Job's Data
The first and biggest leak from this datamine belongs to Citadel! A brand new game from Valve that is seemingly a squad-based game with a hybrid RTS-FPS gameplay.
As Tyler McVicker, the dataminer, reveals in his YouTube video, Citadel puts players in the role of a commander, which allows them to have a top-down RTS look on the map and deploy their squads (Teammates) known as Bots. Each group of bots can be controlled individually with different abilities or they all can obey a single formula, based on what the commander decides.
This, however, is the RTS part of the game. Apparently, players can take the role of any of their bots on the battlefield to experience the game as a first-person shooter!
Citadel is seemingly supposed to feature a single-player campaign mode as well, but we can't confirm any of these details unless we hear it from officials. You can check out the video below for even more details on the gameplay features of Citadel:
Additionally, there are some small hints in Aperture Desk Job on three other projects as well, including a sequel or maybe an expansion to Half-Life Alyx, Source 2 port of Counter-Strike Global Offensive, and the recreation of a canceled Portal paint game.
To be honest, putting so much information from Citadel in the Aperture Desk Job data couldn't be an accident. Probably, Valve did want dataminers to discover these details and probably analyze the overall reaction towards such a project.
