Valve Plans to Shock and Awe in the Next 12 Months

September 1, 2010

The sly devils over at Valve know exactly how to play coy. While an announcement of Half-Life 3 was disappointingly absent from this year’s E3, company co-founder and managing director Gabe Newell tells us not to count our eggs before they’ve hatched:

“I can guarantee you people are going to be surprised at stuff we do. That isn’t going to stop any time soon, (laughs) I’m just laughing because… people will be shocked again.”

If it’s Half-Life 3 he’s hinting at, I know at least I won’t be shocked at all. It’s ok to dream isn’t it? He continued saying:

“We have three pretty big surprises in the next 12 months at least.”

Really leaves the gamer wondering doesn’t it? What do you think Valve has up its sleeve for 2011?
